#17 - Sci-Fi Lover

Now this one has caused some confusion among the masses. "Why won't you date someone who loves Science Fiction, when you absolutely love it??" "Isn't there some double standard here?" "Don't you want someone who can watch Star Trek and Red Dwarf with you?"

On paper, that sounds like a great idea, but have you ever met a girl who likes science fiction? There is some sort of physics, scientific, space-time continuum, chain reaction, universal anamoly thingy that makes it impossible for normality and a passion for science fiction to exist in the female body. If you are a normal, well-adjusted, socially capable female, it is impossible for you to sit through 10 mins of Star Trek. If you can participate in the discussion of which series is better: TOS, TNG, DS9, or VOY, it is impossible for you to be a female who is attractive or fun to be with. The technical term for this phenomenon is scifigirlsaregeeksiosis.

Now that's
HOT!!!

So yes, it would be great to have a girlfriend I can watch science fiction with! However, in our current reality such an event is unattainable. Such a female only exists in science fiction!!

(this quality was inspired by the movie "Trekkies")

Well dude I gotta tell ya, my wife is a geek and while she may not be head over heels crazy for it, she digs sci-fi and otherwise geeky stuff. I watch Justice League with her, we have been watching through the old school He-Man together. She's a freakin science teacher man! I get what your sayin, I just think it is OK for a woman to have a certain level of love for it, and my wife is hot... so don't be too quick on that one. :)

One word: Bubble. Get out and get around. Women and men don't fit into nice little equations like Sci-fi + femlae (not evening going to correct that one because i am not looking to date you)= socialy inadequate female geekosis. See how i was gender inclusive in my statement.
Oh, my 50's style housewife dinner of meatloaf and brocolli is all done. Gotta put a bow in my hair and eat now!

Hey - a person can like Red Dwarf and not be a sci-fi lover...I hate Star Trek! And I don't consider Red Dwarf to be your typical sci-fi

so okay, red dwarf and mystery science theatre don't really fall under sci-fi, because they are both a unique brand of comedy.

and teresa, i know you and the others like to say i made you watch mystery science theater, but you didnt even make it through the first 2 mins, so technically i don't think you can tell people you've "watched it".

will I get shot for this question? What is Red Dwarf??

haha, I don't expect most people to know what Red Dwarf is! It is a Sci-Fi British comedy. The second picture in this post is the crew of the mining ship "Red Dwarf".
